The Darling Dozen

I was surprised that Gideon and Ayla got the big bye bye. Gideon does have a smooth voice and he takes his time within little vocal runs, but damn - he is so weird. I expect to hear his name again though. Likely on police logs. Ayla the mechanical as a Kraftwerk song is gone, and I'm glad. Kinnik is a better singer than her, but she screwed up her last song, so, buh-bye. Good riddance to Greg Brady too.

Now the real fun begins! Go Paris! Go Mandisa! Go Mary Katherine Gallagher aka Katherine McFever! Go all the boys except the tiny little boy, Kevin - he goes next I think. And Melissa has got to pull a major performance out of those tight jeans to stay another week.

I wonder what the themes will be? Will they have guest judges?

The Joy of Idol indeed!

I thought Ryan said that Stevie Wonder would be on the show tonight (Tuesday, March 14), but I've read online that the THEME was Stevie Wonder and as much as I adore Stevie W. - haven't they already sung a LOT of Wonder tunes already this season?

Well duh, I should have gone to the website first thing today: "This week’s theme is music by the legendary Stevie Wonder! And to celebrate that, Stevie himself will be featured on the show and will be performing in tomorrow’s Results show!"

Thank you, Darling, for your updates. Stevie Wonder is among the greatest musicians ever. Contestants do sing many of his songs, but his catalogue is ENORMOUS. I hope the kids sing some of Stevie's less well-known songs.I also hope that Stevie works directly with the kids on their vocals - I love it when the guest stars do that!

Thanks again, Cindy!

Starting tonight (3/14), there is going to be a pre-Idol show on the TV Guide Channel.
